Evening and Weekend GP Appointments

East Surrey GP Practices are working together to provide more appointments in the evenings and at weekends at our new GP Hubs: Caterham Dene Community Hospital and The Hawthornes Surgery

Birchwood Medical Practice

The practice history dates back to the beginning of the 20th century when one of the former senior partners followed a family tradition of doctoring in Horley. As the growth of Horley led to an increased list of patients, so too did the number of doctors.

We transferred into the Kings Road surgery in 1976 and in May 2005, after many years of planning, moved into the current premises known as Birchwood Medical practice.

Since 2009, Dr Elango Vijaykumar is the senior partner of the practice.

Birchwood Medical practice is one of the 18 practices in the East Surrey Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG). http://www.eastsurreyccg.nhs.uk/
